USA’s meat exports to China during the first quarter of 2022

The French country is positioned in 13th place in the world ranking of meat exports to China, and within Europe it is in 3rd place.
In these first three months (January-March inclusive) of 2022, France exported a total of 33.229.323 kg for a value of USD 85.725.181.
The most exported categories were poultry and pork.
Poultry meat export data to China
Regarding the first product, a total of 17.195.066 Kg have been exported for a value of 45.102.815 USD. These values represent a growth rate of +7% from January to March, as 5.720.573 kg were exported in the first month and 6.096.149 kg in the third, with a difference of +375.576 kg.
Over the total value of poultry exports in March, the price per kg was of 2,93 USD/kg.
Pork export data to China
If we talk about pork, 15.773.593 kg were exported for a value of 39.046.775 USD, that is to say, a decrease of -10% in the January-March. In the third month, -618.860 kg were exported.
But if we look at exports from February to March, we find a difference of +1.207.885 kg, which represents a 28% increase in pork exports to China.
Pork’s price per kg in March, the average price was 2,98 USD/kg.
Growth in beef exports to China
The "least" exported product with quantities of less than 1,000,000 kg, but with a considerable positive growth, was veal. It increased by 36% in March compared to January.
This product was sold at USD 2.21/kg in March.
Destination provinces for meat exports to China
Besides that, we have the total imports per Chinese province. A total of 7 provinces imported more than 1,000,000 kg.
Even so, it is worth noting that the province that imports the least French meat is Jilin. In the first quarter, it exported a total of 24,000 kg.

As a conclusion to the situation in France, we note that the country has decreased its exports to China by -2% this first quarter.
