The country is positioned in 11th place in the world ranking of meat exports to China.
First-quarter performance of Canada's meat exports to China
In the first three months, it has exported a total of 39,885,525 kg for a value of USD 88,837,596.
The Canadian country exported pork, Edible offal of bovine animals, swine, sheep, goats, horses, asses, mules or hinnies (fresh, chilled or frozen) and beef.
Canada's meat categories demanded by China
The first category is known as 0203 and it accounts for 67% of meat exports. A total of 26,540,484 kg were exported in the first quarter. This means that pork meat were bought for USD 51,717,744 in those months.
From January to March the growth rate increased by 110%, that is to say, 13,403,261 kg more were exported in the third month.
Its price in March was USD 1.95.
The second meat product, 0206, accounts for 29%. We observe that its growth rate increased by 97% with -9,297,224 kg less in the last month.
A kg of edible offal sold for in March USD 9.80.
The third meat product, 0202, accounts for 5%. We observe that its growth rate increased by 101% with 5.004.857 kg more in the last month.
A kg of beef sold for in March USD 1.68.
The "least" exported Canada's meat product to China with quantities of less than 1,000,000 kg, but with a considerable positive growth, was "pig fat”. It increased by 173% in March compared to January.
Canada meat exports to China by provinces
Besides that, we have the total imports per Chinese province. A total of 7 provinces imported more than 1,000,000 kg.
Even so, it is worth noting that the province that imports the least canadian meat is Shanxi. In the first quarter, it exported a total of 27,040 kg.
