In these first three months (January-March inclusive) of 2022, LATAM has exported a total quantity of 659,381,272 kg for a value of USD 2,770,500,550. It is the continent with the highest meat export earnings in the world, far ahead of its North American neighbors.
The most exported categories were beef, poultry and pork.
In these first three months, a total of 347,551,635 kg of beef were exported to China with a value of USD 1,998,501,651. These values represent a growth rate of +76% from January to March. 502,548,862 kgwere exported in the first month and 883,380,117 kg in the third, with a difference of +380,831,255 kg.
The price per kg of beef was 5.94 USD/kg in March.
In the case of poultry, 404,704,253 kg were exported for a value of USD 169,992,642 , resulting in a decrease in the growth rate by -19%from January-March. -10,569,963 Kg were exported in thethird month.
As for the price per kg of pork in March, the average price was 2.35 USD/kg.
In the case of pork, 103,127,358 Kg were exported with a value of
USD 203,867,002. This means that the growth rate deceased 11% from january to march. -8,137,236 Kg. were exported in march.
The price of pork was 1.9 USD/kg in march
The "least" exported product with quantities of less than 1,000,000 kg, but with considerable positive growth, was pork fat. It increased by 65% in March compared to January.
This product was sold for USD 0.81/kg in March.
It is important to note that there are 3 countries that stand out above all others. We are talking about Brasil, Argentina and Uruguay. In this infographic you can see how much kg and for how many USD meat was exported from these top 3 countries.
On the other hand, we have the imports in the Chinese provinces. Six of the eight exporting countries imported more than 1,000,000 kg to China. In particular, the top country was Brazil. The Latin American country exported a total of 88,679,449 kgto Guangdong province. This amounts to a price of USD 259,962,681 for total meat imports.
It is important to note that this country has far surpassed the former top 1 meat exporter from China. We refer to Spain The Latin American country has almost doubled the quantities exported. Spain exported a total of 191,212,844 kg in the first quarter and Brazil 356,081,119 kg.
Even so, it should be noted that the province that imports the least meat from Latin America is Qinghai. In the first quarter it exported a total of 47,358 kg.

As a conclusion of the LATAM situation, we note that the country has increased its exports to China by 19% in the first quarter. It has exported a total of+40.668.944 Kg between january and march.
